Application classification:
Thermostats are used for fan coil unit, heating system or heat pump.
1) Fan coil thermostat
Specially designed for fan coil units, controls the valves open or close, the fans started or stopped, adjusts wind speed to regulate indoor temperature, widely applied in central air conditioning terminals for offices, hotels and apartments.
Control signal types classification:
Due to valves or fan control signal, we have on/off type or modulating type fan coil thermostats.
a) If on/off actuator and 3-speed fans, you can choose standard fan coil thermostats. It adopts switch signal output, controls on/off operation of air damper or motorized valves, cost-effective for basic temperature control.
b) If your valves are modulating type and EC motor fan, please choose PID thermostats, which are with analogue signal outputs, controls modulating valves and EC motor fan for achieve energy saving and comfortable environment.
Besides, communicating function is optional like Modbus, Zigbee, which allows you regulate thermostats by the BMS.
Other functions are optional too, like key card dry contact, usually used for hotels. External sensor contact allows to test outdoor temperature or pipe water temperature. OCC contact is for dewpoint or window detection.
Smart fan coil thermostat is popular now. You can control or regulate the thermostats by cell phone remotely.
2) Heating thermostat
Dedicated for floor heating, wall-hung boiler and radiator heating systems, precisely maintain constant indoor heating temperature, support weekly programmable heating, anti-freeze protection, ideal for residential heating scenes.
3A output is for water heating and 16A output is for electric heating.
Smart heating thermostat is popular for residential heating application.
3) Heat Pump Thermostat
Customized for air-to-water & air-to-air heat pumps, manages heating & cooling switching and unit operating status, gets integrated control of heat pump host and indoor terminal.
